Tis the Season!
Can you believe it is already Christmas time? We have been very busy learning the "reason for the season" while also decorating for the holidays! We also have been trying very hard to impress our friend "Elfie" with our great behavior so we can stay on Santa's Good List. This week we have been working on projects that focus on our fine motor skills and following directions. Our major projects this week are "Top Secret", but we hope you will enjoy them very soon! Our letter this week was U, and I have been so excited about how well our friends were able to write our first letter with a curve! Next week we will continue our lessons on Christmas while also practicing for our program on Friday. We are excited to show off all our hard work!
An Update from Mrs. McCormack
Some of you may know that I will be out this week and the week after the holidays. I will be heading down on Monday to Charleston. On Wednesday, I will be donating a kidney to my wonderful mother-in-law, Laila. Many family members and friends were tested but I was the only match! I am thrilled to be able to give Laila this amazing gift! Please keep us both in your prayers!
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! Love and joy to all,
Angie

Gobble Gobble Gobble!
Turkeys, Turkeys everywhere! Our room is full of Fall and Thanksgiving! Our family project turkeys are decorating our room (but very hard to recognize in their disguises!) The kids really enjoyed presenting their turkeys to the class. We've done lots of painting and are finishing our feather turkeys. We have also focused on the letter 'T' and done lots of patterns,
There has been a lot of Thanksgiving fun in the room with special Thanksgiving stories and our very own tee-pee! The kids have LOVED playing in the tee-pee, wearing Indian clothes (from when Miss Jackson was little!), and cooking over our "campfire!" Mrs. Trail's dad came to visit us and brought a special guest. I can honestly say I have never seen our friends so SPEECHLESS!
Another big project has been our ornaments for FPA's Christmas Tree in the Festival of Trees. This year our tree's theme is Chrismons and our class has worked so hard to make amazing candles. FPA's tree this year is at the Marriott on Pelham Road. We hope you all will have a chance to see this wonderful display of trees!
